Color Walk

I read this book called The Art of Noticing by Rob Walker.

There is a page about take a color walk.

Few questions from that page:

  1. What are the colors that you become aware of first?
  2. What are the colors that reveal themselves more slowly?
  3. What colors do you observe that you did not expect?
  4. What color relationships do you notice?
  5. Do colors appear to change over time?

Here's what I noticed so far:

  1. Sky blue, black, green, white in different situations. Sky blue if I look up, black when I close my eyes, white in reflections, green in trees and plants.
  2. Pastel colors show up more slowly.
  3. I don't know yet!
  4. Yellow and black on sign boards, red and white on danger boards, black and white.
  5. Maybe they change? I'm not sure!

I don't know all the answers yet.

That's okay. The point is to see things carefully. Notice the small details. Be curious.

I might try this again and see what I find. It's fun to look at the world like it's full of surprises.
